Married at the St Michael’s Uniting Church, it was a absolute pleasure for us to capture wedding photography for Dab and David’s wedding. The couple planned their wedding reception at George Ballroom which stands as one of the most historic wedding venues in Melbourne. However, due to the pandemic, the couple had to push their celebration to later this year.
Located on Collins Street, the St Michael’s Uniting Church is one of the most iconic churches that you can find in the CBD, and the bride and groom will be benefited with endless photo opportunities from inside to outside. The Collin’s street has the perfect setting for some modern styled wedding photography and during the pre-wedding meeting, the couple also wanted to have some greeneries to be featured inside their wedding photography. So the Carlton Garden was soon decided to be our second photo location on the wedding day.
After the couple’s intimate wedding ceremony, we then proceeded to do some candid family photos just outside of the church. Then after some candid walking shots on the Collins Street, we then headed to the Carlton Garden for wedding photography.
The Carlton Garden is an ideal place for wedding photography: not only it’s filled with lots of greenery and trees, you can also find several architectures with very distinctive styles. We first started doing some photos at the famous central lawn and then moved to the fountain for some portraits. And lastly, we had lots of fun doing wedding photography at the front of the Melbourne Museum.
The three hours wedding photography session almost felt like was passed by in a spilt second, during the location photo session, we had plenty of fun with the bridal party and their laughter become an important factor for capturing candid and natural wedding photography.
