Located at the foot of the Macedon ranges, Emu Bottom is regarded as one of the oldest homestead wedding reception in Melbourne. Emu Bottom is the perfect venue when you are planning a rustic wedding but you don’t feel like Yarra Valley as receptions there are just too “popular”.
The Emu Bottom consists of mainly three parts, the homestead, the woolshed as well as the Miner’s cottage. While the Miner’s cottage is used for indoor ceremony, the other two buildings are used for two separate reception areas. Something interesting is if you got lucky on your wedding day finding you as the only wedding party on the site then you can use both buildings as the background for photos. Otherwise you can only do photos at the house you booked.
the Emu Bottom is a great wedding venue not only it offers sublime beauty and comfort to its guests, but also by the fact it offers its guests so many choices on locations.
You can either choose to tight the knot on the lawn in front of the homestead or in the Miner’s Cottage.
After you are officially married, we will take you and your wedding party along to do some photos inside the property. The white wall of the homestead is pretty much a must location for you photos as its so famous. There are also lots of wild lives within the reception that are willing to bump in your photos.
Before your night reception begin, you can enjoy some drinks and chill out with your guests. Personally, receptions that are held outdoor on the long tables are my favorites, as you really get to appreciate the rustic and natural vibe of the venue.
